Elizabeth van der Woude (née Parsons), a soprano originally from Yeovil, England, discovered her passion for choral music at the age of 11 with the Somerset Youth Choir. While studying voice at Bath Spa University under Viola Nagel and Ian Comboy, she performed as a soloist with the acclaimed Bath Camerata, directed by Nigel Perrin, in works such as Vaughan Williams' Mass in G minor and Geoffrey Poole's Wymondham Chants.
In 2002, Elizabeth moved to Munich, where she built a versatile career as a soprano, conductor, and choral manager. She has sung with renowned ensembles such as the KONEKTO ensemble, Vokalkappelle der Theatinerkirche, World Choir for Peace, Chamber Choir of Europe, and Chor der Klangverwaltung, while also directing and performing in the award-winning Munich a cappella group, bar-nineteen. Beyond performing, Elizabeth is known for her expertise in project, event, and choral management.
Elizabeth’s dedication to vocal artistry has also led her to collaborate with professional groups like the Gärtnerplatz Theater Opera Chorus and Claritas Vocalis, leaving a lasting impression in both the UK and Germany.
